- MEXICO. Mint Error -- Struck on a Steel Planchet -- 2 Pesos, 2019-Mo. Mexico City Mint. PCGS MS-63. cf. KM-604. Beaming with flashy luster and pristine surfaces, this somewhat uncanny error showcases machine scratches and chewed rims that were scored into the planchet before striking. These are a relic of the minting process and do not affect the coin's grade, but they indicate that the planchet was possibly jammed in a hopper or stuck in machinery, leading it to end up in the striking chamber for 2 Pesos.
