详细说明: THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION SCARCE in any condition. It is estimated that only 300 or so pieces exist of the original 460 mintage. Pleasantly devoid of contact marks, the mirror like surfaces exhibit wisps of ice blue and gold toning. Likely dipped at one time, in our opinion. Faint hairlines can be seen in the fields as well as a few lint marks. The lint marks were created when the dies were polished to enhance the reflectivity and little pieces of thread from the dusting cloths were stuck in the dies. As the coins were struck, these threads that were stuck in the dies made small impressions on the coin that look like squiggly pieces of thread. PCGS 14; NGC 3. A mere 460 Proofs were coined this year and just 14 pieces grade finer with the CAMEO designation. PCGS Price Guide Value is $3,500. A recent piece sold at auction for $3,120 in June 2019.
