- Our sister company., Legend Numismatics has handled the very finest 1885 's but never one this this nice in such an affordable grade. We can not stress enough how GEM VF this coin is! Incredible smooth surfaces are exceedingly clean. Even using a strong glass you will NOT be disappointed. You can see traces of luster and even semi-prooflike mirrors around the devices. Both sides are a totally original deep gold/pale reddish gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details do show light even wear and are still well struck. The eye appeal is wonderful! ONLY 800 were minted. PCGS 3, NGC 0, CAC 1. NO PCGS VF has ever been sold via auction. There is probably only a small spread between the grades price wise. However, ANY CAC'd piece always brings 10-20% more. We can't stress enough the REAL quality and eye appeal of this coin! Cert. Number 83527834 PCGS # 8007
