- 1888-O Morgan Silver Dollar. MS-66 PL (PCGS). Brilliant surfaces allow ready appreciation of softly frosted devices and lively reflective fields. This is a sharply struck, expertly preserved Gem that will appeal to advanced collectors of Prooflike dollars. Thanks to the releases of hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of examples from government storage from the 1940s through the early 1960s, the 1888-O is plentiful in Mint State. The typical Uncirculated coin encountered in today's market, however, is flatly struck in the centers.
