(t) CHINA. Szechuan-Tibet. Rupee, ND (1933-39). Kangding Mint. NGC MS-62. L&M-359; KM-Y-3.4; WS-0763B-2. Variety with collar, vertical rosette, and small head. Displaying an attractive luster that is VERY RARE on these Tibetan Rupees, this entirely handsome example showcases a stunning eye appeal that is entirely wholesome and problem free. Light golden tone further compliments the appearance, with some evidence of lacquer in the recesses which perhaps helps to explain how this example was so well preserved. Estimate: $2,000 - $4,000.
