- 1867 Libertas Americana / J.A. Bolen Store Card. Musante JAB-30, Rulau Ma-Sp 42. Brass. MS-63 (PCGS). 25 mm. A remarkable second offering for a brass impression from these dies, and one of only three believed extant, if not struck. The third is Bolen's personal specimen, offered as lot 10232 in our November 2021 Baltimore Auction. The present example with rich brassy-gold color and a few light carbon specks that account for the grade. Appreciably prooflike in the fields, both sides are otherwise satiny in texture.
