This is a VERY HIGH END example for the date and grade. We really do not see why this coin is only a 64+ (no guarantees, but one day we could see this coin in a GEM grade holder). A pearlescent silver luster shines boldly on both sides. Satiny smooth with a pleasing frost, there are no marks of any consequence to be found anywhere. Only with the aid of a strong glass will you find any trace of minor contact. The strike is crisp with the outline to Liberty's thumb separated from her thigh and there bold drapery lines. The eye appeal is very nice. PCGS 517, NGC 246, CAC 54. There are 49 in MS64+ at PCGS. We think there is a bunch of duplication of submissions at this level, as this date is VERY RARE any finer. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $5,000 and it jumps to $25,000 in MS65. This coin should bring a premium bid in the spread, as its quality is very close to MS65. Good luck. Cert.
