While 1926-S gets a lot of notoriety as a key to the series, astute collectors recognize that the present 1924-S may be, if anything, even more difficult to locate "nice" in better circulated grades. Tantalizing detail will make this example particularly attractive given how often these come poorly struck, and the planchet has no evidence of the defects that often accompany San Francisco issues of the era.
