- ECUADOR. 4 Escudos, 1838-MV. Quito Mint. NGC AU Details--Excessive Surface Hairlines. Fr-4; KM-19; Seppa-84; Carr-76. Slightly weak in center of obverse as is typically found with this issue. Only mild circulation wear to low relief design and free of detracting or eye catching marks. Pleasing golden orange toning in peripheries and in much of reverse with strong remaining luster in legends and protected areas. Estimate: $3,000 - $5,000.
