- No question this GEM has been put aside and carefully saved since it left the Mint 87 years ago! The quality is as good as it gets. Great surfaces hold no surprises. They are as clean and smooth as you could hope for. A strong luster radiates fro m all over. The coin has slight original golden toning on both sides. The details are of course well struck. The eye appeal is great! PCGS 139, NGC 64, CAC 64. The last PCGS CAC example to sell via auction brought $1,233 in April 2023. The current Collectors Universe value is $1,600.
