- GREAT BRITAIN. Coronation of Queen Victoria Bronze Medal, 1838. PCGS SP-55 Secure Holder. 86.5mm. Eimer-1309; BHM-1802. By Pistrucci. Diademed head of Queen Victoria left, legend "ALEXANDRINA VICTORIA" around; Reverse: "DA / FACILEM CURSUM / ATQUE / ADNUE COEPTIS / 1838". A bold, high relief medal with rich chocolate brown surfaces. Much larger and rarer than the official Royal Mint issue (36mm in size) that was also designed by Benedetto Pistrucci and employs a very similar obverse portrait. Estimate: $200 - $300.
