- GREAT BRITAIN. Noble, ND (1422-30). London Mint; mm: lis. Henry VI (first reign). PCGS AU-55.
S-1799; Fr-112; N-1414. Annulet issue. Weight: 6.74 gms. Obverse: Henry, holding sword and shield, standing facing in ship with bowsprit; ornaments: -11-1, ropes: 2/1, quatrefoils: 3/3, lis: 3/3; annulet by handle of sword, lis after royal name, trefoil stops; Reverse: Voided short cross potent over cross fleuree; in each angle, crown over lion passant over trefoil; at center, Һ within quadrilobe; all within polylobe, with annulet in one spandrel and trefoils in the remaining; mullet after IҺC, annulet stops. Only lightly handled, this elegant and enchanting survivor from the first reign of Henry VI presents rather distinctive features in the countenance of the king, with all of the secret privy marks clearly defined as well.
