详细说明: Gem Deep Cameo Proof 1864 Silver Pattern Quarter Judd-386, Low Rarity-7 Sole DCAM J-386 Certified by PCGS 1864 Pattern Liberty Seated Quarter. Judd-386, Pollock-454. Rarity-7-. Silver. Reeded Edge. Proof-66 Deep Cameo (PCGS). Regular-issue obverse die of the date coupled with the IN GOD WE TRUST reverse used for coins 1866-1891. The heavily frosted devices and boldly mirrored fields are aglow with deep champagne-gold iridescence throughout. The strike is as sharp as can be desired and adds great depth to the cameo effect. Undeniably choice for the assigned grade, and certain to attract its fair share of bidding activity. One of the so-called "transitional" patterns about which the uspatterns.com website notes the following: "These and the other 'with motto' patterns of this date, and 1863 and possibly 1865, are actually restrikes made circa 1869 and into the early 1870s and offered with restrikes of other denominations in complete sets. The reverse die used here is the same as on the 1869 and 1870 trial pieces with die rust between the eagle's right (observer's left) wing and the olive branch. The die state is later than on the 1869 pieces." PCGS# 960557.
