An incredible SUPERB GEM that is tied for FINEST GRADED and boasts a truly magnificent visual allure! A brilliant mint luster blooms all over bringing out the rich autumnal hued toning that graces both sides. Shades of burnt russet, amber-gold, and olive-tan patina dominate, while a light brings out shades of olive and forest green. The surfaces are smooth, devoid of any marks. Well struck and beautifully lustrous, this SUPERB GEM is worthy of its place at the APEX of the PCGS Population Report and CAC green bean of approval. Clearly this remarkable coin sat for ages in an original Mint Set holder. PCGS 98, NGC 75, CAC 32. There are 16 in MS67+ and NONE FINER. This is a near twin to the one we sold in March 2020 for $21,150. Prior to that, we sold one in our January 2020 Regency Auction for $29,375 which likewise had great toning.
