- THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION PART II This is a stunning, SUPERB GEM example of this incredibly RARE Longacre Indian Princess half dollar pattern! Tied for FINEST GRADED, this is a Rarity-8 struck in Aluminum with a reeded edge. The obverse depicts James B. Longacre's beloved Seated Indian Princess holding a pole with Liberty Cap, supporting the globe, with flags behind, surrounded by 13 stars. The reverse is the regular issue Proof die. Break out your sunglasses! These deep, beaming mirrors are the epitome of brilliance and reflectivity. There is no haze or any environmental issues that often plague aluminum patterns. Every detail is razor sharp in strike with full, thick, creamy frosting to the devices. The fields are icy smooth devoid of lines or any serious flaws. There is a tiny spot between the 8 and 7 in the date, identifying this SUPERB GEM as the Col. Green- Eric Newman coin. There is just one other example known, the piece enumerated in the Pollock reference as being ex Armand Champa, Rudy Sieck, and most recently Bob R. Simpson, as PR67 CAM, without CAC approval. PCGS 2, NGC 0, CAC 1. This SUPERB coin sold in September 2013 as NGC/CAC PR67 CAM for $23,500. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $40,000. This is an exceptionally RARE and important pattern half dollar, most often missing from the greatest collections of patterns. A delight to behold and a coin that should see RECORD bidding! Good luck! Cert. Number 25361704 PCGS # 800184.00
