1874-CC Seated Liberty Half Dollar. Arrows. WB-101. AU-55 (PCGS). CAC. By far the rarer of the two Carson City Mint issues in the short-lived Arrows, Motto Seated Half Dollar subseries, the 1874-CC was produced to the extent of just 59,000 pieces. High-grade circs such as this Choice AU can be particularly difficult to come by in today's market, most examples of the issue having circulated heavily until worn out or lost. In sharp contrast to the typically offered survivor, this piece is boldly-to-sharply defined in all areas. A short stint in circulation also failed to impart any sizeable abrasions, and an even overlay of warm olive-apricot iridescence further enhances already strong eye appeal. An important find for the specialized collector.
