1710-D French Colonies 30 Deniers, or Mousquetaire. Lyon Mint. Vlack-2. Rarity-2. MS-62 (PCGS). The 30 Deniers coinage of the Lyon Mint of the 1709-1713 era was specifically authorized for use in Canada by the French crown. An exceptionally well preserved example of this otherwise readily obtainable 1710-D issue, this satiny BU also reveals faint traces of semi reflective brilliance in the protected areas around the devices. Mostly even silver-gray patina to both sides, with a bold strike and surfaces that appear smooth enough to suggest a Choice rating.
