详细说明: THE XANNO COLLECTION This marvelous 1871 cent is the SINGLE FINEST example for the date in the RB category graded by either PCGS or NGC. Like most dates in the 1870s, full RED GEM examples are VERY RARE and this beautifully toned RB is a great example for any advanced set. Rich brick red toning is accented by soft violet overtones and speckled golden undertones. The color is highlighted by a bold luster that rolls smoothly over the satiny smooth surfaces. A single tick can be found with effort, barely worth mentioning, as it has no impact on the wonderful eye appeal. PCGS 2, NGC 10, CAC 3. This is the ONLY MS66+ RB graded by either service, and it has not sold in auction before. The last MS66 RB was the NGC/CAC example in the December 2020 sale of the Larry Miller Collection, which brought $4,080. Neither the NGC Price Guide, nor the Collectors Universe Price Guide list a value in this grade, but in regular MS66 RB, the Collectors Universe value is $5,000 and the CAC CPG value is $4,690.
