Fr-1872; KM-234; Erlanger-575. Weight: 17.25 gms. By G. F. Nurnberger. Obverse: EXPONATA DIV PAX COE LI EX MVNERE VENIT (with date in chronogram), Peace, holding olive branch and caduceus, standing facing on base; Genius to left and right, holding palm frond and resting elbow upon shield; Reverse: City view of Nuremberg, with radiant tetragrammaton above; in three lines in exergue, MONETA REIPUB / NORIMBERGEN / SIS 1698. Likely serving as a jewelry piece, this example presents great eye appeal with golden-orange toning and excellent detail. A difficult type to encounter and always popular when it is.
