Rich, deep iridescent toning blankets both sides of this near GEM Proof Trade dollar. Watery reflection sparkles under the toning. Sharply struck devices do stand out with strong definition, standing out against the smooth, surrounding fields. The eye appeal is bold and totally original. Only 700 proofs were struck. PCGS 59, NGC 48. APRs for PR-64s have been very consistent going back to 2013, where PCGS and NGC coins have sold in the $3,500-$3,700 range and the current Collector's Universe value is $4,250. A pleasing and original coin like this should see very strong bidding from type and specialist collectors of Proof Trade dollars.
