THE SAN DIEGO COLLECTION This GEM O-103 is within the Condition Census, but does not seem to match any of the MS65s listed in the AMBPR. A thick, satiny mint frost glows from below a rich, deeper blue and gray patina with amber-gold accents. Displaying the typical strike for an 1833, the details are a little blunt on the highest points. The die state shows some weakness in the milling and with the stars and letters being, at least partially, drawn to the edge. The eye appeal is quite lovely. PCGS 18, NGC 21. Fewer than a dozen have ever graded finer at PCGS. The most recent MS65 sold in our September 2021 Regency Auction for $6,169. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $8,500. This is a great type coin that will bring a strong bid from the collector of GEM types. Cert. Number 46263215 PCGS # 39889
