FROM THE WOLVERINE COLLECTION. WOW! Rarely do early Indian Head cent Proofs come this vibrant, flashy, and with so much fresh mint RED. Currently tied for second FINEST graded at PCGS, there is just a single PR66+ RD finer in the designation. The mirrored fields are magnificent and highly reflective and the devices are crisply struck up with a bold frost. A couple of ancient flecks attest to the wonderful originality of this Premium Quality GEM; the eye appeal is stupendous! PCGS 4, NGC 3, CAC 2. This coin was recently sent in to CAC, and it last sold in September 2010 for $8,050 as a non-CAC coin. Indeed, prior to now, no CAC example has sold in auction. The current Collector's Universe value is listed at $9,000. We know this coin is going to fit into one of the FINEST collections of Indian Head cents, and worthy of a strong bid to take it home.
