This is a truly exceptional GEM 1912 half eagle. Tied for FINEST graded at PCGS with the Simpson coin for top honors, this is a truly remarkable high grade survivor of a mintage of 790,000. First off, this coin sports a stunning golden hue that is kissed with peach, tangerine, and rose accents. Deeply impressed incuse devices show razor sharp definition throughout the design types. A brilliant golden sheen and exquisite luster gleams all over. Some minor scattered ticks and traces of contact can be found, mostly in the dreaded field above the eagle on the reverse.
