1866 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Motto. Proof-65 (NGC). The bright silver-gray centers of this attractive Gem Proof half dollar yield to soft lilac iridescence in the fields and deep gold, crimson, and blue iridescence in the dentils on both sides. Choice for the grade with lightly dusted motifs and reflective fields that form a soft cameo contrast that is boldest on the reverse. One of 725 Proofs of the date struck, and the first produced with the newly added motto IN GOD WE TRUST on the reverse.
