- THE SAN DIEGO COLLECTION A really high end and colorfully toned GEM O-101, ranking near the top of the Condition Census for the variety, and it is a treat to have been able to offer the top three examples listed in Stephen Herrman's listing of the top examples. An incredible, swirling luster booms in the fields and on the devices, enlivening the deep ocean-blue and coppery-golden, amber-rose patina that forms from rims to the center. Incredibly well struck devices are crisp and sharp, and the surfaces are wonderfully preserved with no imperfections worthy of mention, anywhere. A great example!
