While obtainable with patience in circulated condition Mint State coins have always been scarce. The number of survivors falls off precipitously when the Gem level is required, and even further with the most desirable Red color intact. To date PCGS has only awarded this single coin as MS-65+ Red, with just three others reported as MS-66 Red at the top of their <em>Population Report. </em>When studying this particular coin, notice the even mint color throughout and outstanding quality of the surfaces. The strike is full on the shield and Motto, as well as the reverse wreath. An exceptional example of this prized rarity that will always command attention.
