A conditionally challenging S-mint Walker, the 1928-S saw extensive circulation since it was the only mintage of half dollars that year. Possessing a strong, booming luster with a vivid brightness on both sides. The strike is generally bold and sharp, save for Liberty's hand, on this often soft issue. There is a small mark across Liberty's thigh, noted for accuracy, but it is hardly visible to the unaided eye, thus has minimal impact on the overall near-GEM eye appeal. PCGS 164, NGC 140.
