- GREAT BRITAIN. Bronzed Battle of Salamanca and Entering Madrid Medal, 1812. PCGS SP-64 Secure Holder. Eimer-1026; BHM-735; Bramsen-1175. Medal commemorating the Battle of Salamanca. By N. G. A. Brenet. Obverse: British troops advancing toward the French army in the mountains, at whom Bellona hurls thunder. Reverse: Equestrian figure of Wellington, feted by two Spaniards. Struck in 1820, from Mudie's series of British victories. Sharply struck with mirror-like smoothness in the fields and even reddish brown coloration on both sides. Estimate: $150 - $300.
