- (t) CHINA. Silver Fantasy Dollar, Year 9 (1920). PCGS Genuine--Filed Rims, Unc Details Gold Shield. K-pl. 189; KMX-995; WS-1349-23. Nye Sze Chung commemorative. While we have sold numerous examples of the half dollar sized medal (L&M-954), this is our first offering of this fantasy since August 2015 (SBP HK lot 52494). Some scratches on the obverse rim at 5 o'clock from long ago seem to have earned this example the "Filed Rims" designation. There is no sign that this coin or medal ever had reeding. Extensive die polish on both sides, boldly struck with light mottled tone. Estimate: $1,500 - $2,500. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
