详细说明: "1783" (ca. 1820) Washington Military Bust Copper. Musante-109B, Baker-4, Vlack 2-B, W-10165. Large Military Bust. Proof-62 BN (NGC). An extremely rare and highly unusual specimen of Large Military Bust Washington token, the first we have encountered graded with a Proof designation. The strike and luster are indeed suggestive of a special production, the detail is extremely sharp, the borders high and show a partial wire rim, and the fields on both sides display reflective luster while the devices are lightly frosted. Advanced die state with die cracks on both sides, indicating this special striking likely came after the normal production run of the Vlack 2-B die pair. Mottled orange and brown with silvery-blue iridescence. Fingerprint stains are noted on both sides but there are no significant abrasions. NGC has labeled this coin a Restrike, but only the 1783 Draped Bust Washington pieces are known to have been restruck later than the 1820s, not the Military Bust type as here.
