This is an unquestionable SUPERB GEM that is totally original. Strong mirrors beam from both sides. The mirrors are perfect, have great clarity, and are nicely reflective. If you twirl the coin the mirrors look like a freshly made sheet of glass. The obverse has a moderate mix of totally original deep evergreen/blue while the reverse is a more muted purple/blue/green (probably from sitting on felt). Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have needle sharp strikes. The eye appeal is excellent! ONLY 777 were minted. PCGS 9, NGC 16, CAC 10 (we believe there are some repeats). The last PR67 to sell at auction brought $3,120 in August 2018. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $5,250 and there are just two coins finer, none of which have ever sold. NOTE: these are NOT common at all. This date is a silent stopper in any Barber series in proof. Cert. Number 82928622 PCGS # 5688
