THE CORONET COLLECTION A SUPERB GEM! Truly this is one of the most beautifully toned Elgins we have handled. Boldly defined details stand out against the satiny smooth surfaces and rich frosty luster. Only with a strong glass can you find a tiny hidden tick or two that keep this stunning coin from an even higher grade Both sides are awash in a stunning olive-gold-orange peripheral patina. The eye appeal is awesome! PCGS 328, NGC 161, CAC 97. There are 58 graded MS67+ at PCGS (no doubt including much duplication from resubmissions in hopes of an even higher grade). Ignore the Price Guide data and recent APRs, this SUPERB GEM brought $1,920 nearly three years ago. VERY RARE any finer, with 10 in MS68 and four in MS68+ higher.
