A truly gorgeous PQ GEM example of this popular date $10 Indian. A bold, vibrant, satin mint brilliance dances off the smooth, clean surfaces. The devices show sharply defined devices on both sides. Rich yellow-gold toning is enlivened by the luster and you are able to ignore the few tiny traces of contact that can be seen with the aid of a strong glass. The eye appeal is inspired. This is the final example from a small group we were consigned from an old Midwest holding. While "common" in grades up to and including MS654, Gem grade examples are scarce, and MS66 examples are decidedly RARE. After nearly four decades of operations, neither PCGS nor NGC has ever graded an MS67 and only eight combined have ever graded higher, all MS66+. PCGS 34, NGC 51. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $15,000 and recent APRs range from $9,106 to $9,694. A marginally finer MS66+ will cost more than double! Good luck. Cert.
