详细说明: Ex Simpson Collection as noted on the insert. What a neat pattern dime! The design is almost an exact reproduction of the late date large cents (1843-1857). A coronet head of Liberty faces left stars around, 1868 below. The reverse has TEN CENTS in a wreath. Struck in copper with a plain edge, J-648 is a very tough Rarity-6+ pattern. A pale greenish patina graces both sides of this sharply struck near-GEM. The fields are more medallic in appearance that that of a Proof. The devices look like they were carved with a knife, the are exquisitely sharp and defined. This is a really cool piece! PCGS 7, NGC 2, CAC 2. This coin has a distinctive look when compared to the PR65 BN CAC piece we sold in July 2018.
