- GREAT BRITAIN. Anne Coronation Silver Medal, 1702. PCGS MS-63 Gold Shield.
MI-228/4; Eimer-390. By J. Croker. Obverse: Diademed and draped bust left; Reverse: Anne (as Pallas-Athena) standing right, holding shield and hurling thunderbolt at two-headed and four-armed serpentine monster (James 'III' and Louis XIV) to right, holding rocks and clubs. Pleasingly toned with steel gray surfaces and some subtle cobalt and burgundy hues.
Estimate: $700 - $1,000.
Provenance: From the Duke of Lansing Collection.
