This is a beautiful LM-13, V-6, a Rarity-3 variety, called "scarce" in the Logan-McCloskey reference. This is a gleaming jewel, a fantastic SUPERB GEM example for the date or type collector. Sharply struck devices are frosty and stand out against the smooth, pearly surfaces. A shimmering luster glows from below a rich iridescent toned mix of earthy hued patina. The eye appeal is exceptional, enhanced by the evenness of the toning and the brilliance of the satiny surfaces. This is an above average specimen for the type, with an exceptional eye appeal. PCGS 13, NGC 11, CAC 12. There have been eight auction appearances of a PCGS MS67 CAC, with an average APR of around $11,000; the most recent selling for $9,300 in the August 2022 sale of the Bender Collection. This example is not as darkly toned and has a better look. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $15,750 and the CAC CPG value is $12,000. Just five examples have ever graded higher and they RARELY appear at auction. The finest was the Simpson-Bender MS68+ CAC that brought a record $93,000 in August 2022. This is a great coin for the collector, bid accordingly. Cert. Number 39491438 PCGS # 4279
