This piece is a MOOSE. You couldn’t get a more original coin if you were in the mint and caught this piece with a gloved hand as it came off the die! You can cut the frost with a knife because it is so thick. Rich hues of gunmetal blue, gold and ice blue intermingle together in splashes of color around the lettering, design elements and in the fields, this coin is by no means dull! A PRIMO coin for the purist! A true rarity, in spite of the pops at PCGS and NGC. With the price differential between a 65+ and MS66, it is not hard to conceive that pieces were submitted numerous times to try to get an MS-66 grade. PCGS 16, NGC 19, CAC 6.
