Bright and lustrous yellow gold with pale olive highlights and outstanding contrast between the frosty motifs and mirrored fields. From a highly polished obverse die with the bridge of Liberty's nose completely polished out of the die. A popular Frontier & Co. issue, active 1864-1872.
