- 1799 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. BB-161, B-11. Rarity-3. VF-30 (PCGS). Satin smooth surfaces and attractive old patina of gray-green fields and somewhat mottled lighter gray devices. A splash of deep sea-blue is seen at the top of the obverse. The strike is sharp and the rims are intact with no bumps or adjustment marks. Average surfaces otherwise with minor circulation and handling marks. Later die state ( BB Die State III ), with the heavy reverse die crack from the rim through the D of UNITED to the eagle's wing and beak. Provenance: From the Sydney F. Martin Collection.
