详细说明: This is one of the FINEST 26-S dollars we have ever handled! It is very high end and tied for FINEST graded at NGC. Nearly of full SUPERB quality, this GEM has an eye appeal is that is off the charts! While nearly 7 million 1926-S Peace dollars fell from the dies, this is a major condition rarity: the vast majority of Mint State examples fall in at MS64 or lower. In MS66 this is a rarity, and is excessively RARE in 66+ or finer. An intense, brilliant luster boldly radiates strongly from all over. Both sides have thick satiny frost that is enlivened by a swirling cartwheel flash. Crisply struck, the definition is razor sharp, surrounded by satiny smooth surfaces. There is a blush of the faintest touch of golden iridescence. A strong glass will reveal a few tiny ticks scattered about, mostly hidden in the recesses of the devices. Truly a very high end example of this important conditionally rare Peace dollar date. PCGS 137, NGC 44, CAC 18. NGC has graded four in MS66+ and NONE FINER. NONE have sold in auction. There are two APRs for PCGS MS66+ CAC coins, including the one that we sold for $41,125 in September 2019 (a WORLD RECORD PRICE). The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $42,500.
