- Stunningly Cameoed Gold Coronation Issue of George IV GREAT BRITAIN. George IV Coronation Gold Medal, 1821. PCGS SPECIMEN-63 Gold Shield. 31.09 gms. Eimer-1146a; BHM-1070. Official Royal mint issue engraved by B. Pistrucci. Obverse: Bust with laureate left with legend "GEORGIUS IIII D.G. BRITANNIARUM REX F.D." with the initials "B.P." below the truncation; Reverse: George IV seated left crowned by Victory from behind, depicted before him are Britannia, Hibernia, and Scotia; legend "PROPIO JAM JURE ANIMO PATERNO" with "INAUGURATUS DIE. JULII. XIX ANNO MDCCCXXI" in exergue. VERY RAREquality for this often-mishandled issue, displaying extreme depth within the reflective fields and thick frost over the high relief designs on both sides.
