THE E.D.J. SET, FROM THE EUEL DURWOOD JONES COLLECTION A very challenging date this fine, and EXTREMELY RARE any finer, the 1914 is a "silent" stopper for the series in GEM grade. Warm orange-gold toning graces the frosty surfaces of this satiny smooth example. Well struck devices are deeply impressed and show crisp definition in the feather details. As you rotate the surfaces in a light the color sparkles. There are no serious marks of any kind, the minor ones that we do see require a strong glass to locate. The eye appeal is quite pleasing. PCGS 66, NGC 52. The last two NGC-MS65 examples to sell in auction realized $15,000 (August 2021 and February 2022). The current NGC Price Guide value is $17,000 and the Collectors Universe value is $25,000. NGC has graded just five finer in all the years of grading. Good luck. Cert. Number 2033257008 PCGS # 7946
