- 1893 Barber Half Dollar. Proof-66+ (PCGS). CAC. Awe-inspiring premium Gem surfaces exhibit mottled olive-russet toning to a base of antique silver on the obverse. On the reverse the viewer is treated to rich target toning in steel-mauve, sandy-gold and pewter-gray. Both sides are fully struck with an exceptionally smooth appearance that borders on pristine. A beautiful and highly desirable condition rarity from a mintage of 792 pieces for the second Proof issue in the Barber half dollar series.
