1795 Flowing Hair Half Dime. LM-10. Rarity-3. AU-55 (PCGS). A handsome example of the premier half dime type in U.S. coinage history. Warmly toned in pewter gray, direct lighting calls forth iridescent undertones of pale blue and gold, especially on the reverse. Detail is uncommonly sharp for the type, and the surfaces are pleasingly smooth in hand. The reverse is rotated nearly 90 degrees clockwise from normal coin alignment, terminal obverse die state with a prominent cud at the border outside the letters TY in LIBERTY and star 9. PCGS# 4251.
