- No question this totally original HIGH END GEM Proof is a borderline GEM Red coin. Strong mirrors beam boldly from all over. The mirrors are extremely clean, flashy, and a have great clarity (so important). When you twirl this coin it just glitters like it left the Mint yesterday. Both sides are a GEM faded Mint red which highlights gold/pale violet toning (more so on the reverse). There are NO spots or flecks. Every detail is pinpoint sharp in strike and has delicate frost. The eye appeal is superb! Only 725 minted. PCGS 22, NGC 21, CAC 42 (resubs in there for sure). PCSG has graded only 4 in PR66+ RB with NONE higher. The last PCGS PR66+ RB to sell in auction brought $5,880 in June 2018. We'd be shocked if this coin did not meet or exceed that price! This coin will make a tremendous addition to any SUPERB GEM set!
