详细说明: THE XANNO COLLECTION A famous conditionally rare Indian cent, the 1872 is VERY RARE in RED GEM grades. Among the FINEST at PCGS, the Population Report shows only 17 in MS65 RD, with five finer, three in MS65+ RD and two in MS66 RD as finest. A blazing, bright red color is accented by the richness and brilliance of the original mint luster. Accents of gold and brick iridescent overtones are brought to life in a light. Some of those overtones have a woodgrain texture formed from improper mixing of the alloy at the mint. Just a few tiny ticks and a fleck or two are noted, none of which are visible to the naked eye, nor do they stand out in any way to detract from the stunning GEM quality surfaces. The eye appeal is very high end! PCGS 17, NGC 4. The most recent example brought $15,000 in July 2022 and that was the first non-CAC example that sold since our May 2019 Regency Auction. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $15,000 and we think this GEM will bring a strong bid when it crosses the block.
