- 1863-S Liberty Seated Half Dollar. WB-3. Rarity-3. Small Partially Broken S. MS-64 (NGC). CAC. Pale golden-apricot iridescence visits the peripheries of this otherwise brilliant, satin-white example. Lustrous and smooth throughout with most major design elements fully rendered and crisp. A heavily circulated issue, the 1863-S half dollar is scarce to rare in all Mint State grades. This premium MS-64 numbers among the finest certified survivors from a mintage of 916,000 pieces, and is eagerly awaiting inclusion in an advanced collection of Liberty Seated coinage.
