- GREAT BRITAIN. 1/2 Crown, 1658. Oliver Cromwell, Lord Protector (1653-58). NGC AU-50. S-3227a; KM-B207; ESC-447."HIB" in legend. A handsome example of the two year type. Lightly handled with some even wear showing on hair and cheek. A few scattered marks just before and behind bust but otherwise quite presentable. Deep gunmetal toning across the entire surface, the reverse being especially even and attractive. Estimate: $2,000 - $3,000. Provenance: From the Michael Druck Collection.
