- BOLIVIA. Cob 4 Reales, ND (1578-95)-P. Potosi Mint; Assayer Juan Ballesteros (B). Philip II. PCGS EF-40. KM-4.2; Cal-525. Weight: 13.60 gms. A peculiar cob, double struck with dramatic die rotation. The resulting obverse displays two complete sets of mintmarks and assayer initials, one rotated at an angle above the other. The left side of the reverse cross presents yet more doubling, with two and a half castles visible. This curious and unique coin is enhanced by a lovely deep cabinet toning and fine details.
