- 1911-S Indian Eagle. MS-61 (NGC). Lustrous BU quality with enhancing pinkish-honey color to both sides. One of the lowest mintage Indian eagles, the 1911-S was produced to the extent of just 51,000 pieces. Once considered comparable to the key date 1930-S in terms of overall rarity, the 1911-S received a boost to its Mint State population thanks to a small hoard located in Europe during the 1970s. Even so, this issue still numbers among the 10 rarest of its type in Uncirculated preservation, the present offering representing a fleeting bidding opportunity for the astute gold enthusiast.
